Welcome to the needle felting!

Needle felting is a fiber craft made using sharp, notched needles that matte and tangle wool into 3D shapes.

I've been needle felting for around a year, so I'm by no means an expert, but I LOVE it! Check out the images below of some of my needle felting projects!

Griffin

This was a project for one of my friends for his birthday during Artfight of 2025! Griffin was my most recent project and I'm very proud of how quickly I was able to finish him. He has a wire skeleton that allows him to be able to be posed sitting or standing.

Andy

Andy was my first attempt at making something with a wire skeleton! I had to learn how to stab around the wires and keep the wings lightly felted enough to be stable, but not thick enough that they no longer look like wings. Many things on him were things I had never attempted before, like attaching feet and hands, noses, and extra little floofs of hair.

Cyndaquil

While I'm not a big Pokemon fan anymore, still really love cyndaquil! It's such a cute pokemon and I wanted to see if I could make a little one for myself. I modeled it's flames and colors on a cyndaquil plush I own. It was fun experimenting with ways to keep the flames looking flame-y while also still keeping them neat and stable.

Cow

This is actually still one of my favorite projects to date. Taking what I learned from before (and the massive amount of white wool I had), I decided to make a cow! I intended to make it similar to the cows from Harvest Moon, but realized the head would be too heavy with those proportions. That still didn't stop me from making it too top heavy, though. This was also my first experience mixing wool colors and I was pleasntly surprised. I didn't mix them well, but the marbling effect actually worked in my favor.

Bunny

I made this bunny as practice to try to get a better grasp on needle felting. I feel like I improved a lot between this and the cat, especially considering the pattern didn't come from a kit.

Cat

This lovely little kitty is the first thing I ever needle felted! It was one of the designs that came in the kit. It was really cool to jump feet first into such a new medium. Compared to my current projects, it's messy and fuzzy and a little smushed in some spots, but I'm still rather proud!
